Surgery

We offer a wide range of surgeries at Furness Vets from  neutering procedures, mass removals and eye surgery to fracture repairs, cruciate disease surgery (TPLO), airway surgery (BOAS) and many things in between.  Our senior surgeon is Rob, who has done further, post-graduate training in surgery to allow him to use his expertise to perform more advanced surgeries here at Furness Vets. The vets are closely supported by a team of experienced nurses who have done further training in anaesthesia to keep your pets as safe as possible. Our theatre is constantly invested in with new equipment to make sure our patients receive the best care we can offer.

Nurse Clinics
Our talented team of Registered veterinary nurses(RVNs) have appointments available during the week.  Nurse appointments include nail clipping, anal gland expression, senior wellness checks, puppy weight checks and socialisation visits, nutrition clinics as well as post-operative check ups.

Dentistry
Sometimes your pets may require dental care.  We perform all our dental treatments under general anaesthetic to ensure we can be thorough, and cause as little discomfort as possible to our patients.

Further Investigation
At Furness Vets we have a wide range of equipment and the expertise to perform many further investigations that our patients may require. These include x-ray, ultrasound, and multiple sizes of endoscopy (flexible camera for looking inside the gastro-intestinal tract and patients airways).
