Graduating from Liverpool Vet School in 2009 Rob has always had a keen interest in small animal surgery and has completed further study and surgical exams.
Outside of work Rob is happiest on the lake or in the mountains when he's not busy in the middle of another DIY project.
Claire graduated from Liverpool Vet School in 2009.
With a keen interest in medicine cases, Claire is in the final year of a post graduate certificate in small animal medicine.
Outside of work Claire loves to fell walk and moutain bike when not being a taxi to their young family or caring for their ever expanding menagerie of pets.
Andreea graduated in 2014, and having moved to Cumbria a couple of years later, she met her husband and has never left! Joining Furness Vets in 2019 she is a compassionate and dedicated veterinary surgeon having grown an interest in dentistry and feline medicine.
Outside of work she is kept busy with her whippet, Caesar, and 2 cats (both rescues she has saved!), and enjoys being in her garden.
Charlotte joined the team in 2020 as a new graduate having qualified from the University of Galsgow.
She enjoys getting to know all her patients and their owners and enjoys all aspects that her role brings. With a particular interest in surgery Charlotte is gaining first class experience in this sector and is now in the second year of a post graduate certificate in small animal surgery.
Outside of work Charlotte can often be found with her Duck Tolling Retreiver on a paddleboard exploring the Lake District.
Chris has a particular interest in Dermatology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He enjoys discussions with the team here to diagnose and treat more complex cases.
Outside of work Chris is training for ordained ministry within the Church of England, plays the cornet in the Ulverston Town Band and can be found fell walking...in fair weather.
Olivia joined the Veterinary team in August 2022 following her graduation with Commendation from Liverpool University.
Olivia is a friendly and warm face to our patients and clients a like and enjoys diagnostic imaging.
In her spare time Olivia enjoys walking her Cavapoo Wolfgang, playing the piano and swimming.
Having graduated from Bristol University in 2016 Charlotte started her career in mixed practice before moving to small animal work more recently. She joined the Furness Vets team in 2024 bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge and mirroring our values of excellent patient care. Outside of work she is extremely busy with her own animals and keeping her hand in with the farm animals on her husbands family farm.
Nicola qualified as a Registerd Veterinary Nurse in 2001 and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role.
Enjoying the variety of her job, Nicola is especially interested all aspects of the laboratory work involved with nursing your pet back to health.
Outside of work Nicola is a dog agility fanatic with her lovely dog Zen and puppy Chilli, who join her at work every day.
Vicky has been at Furness Vets since 2019. Having done further studying in anaesthesia she enjoys theatre nursing as well as consulting. Vicky is a clinical coach for our student nurses and with her wealth of knowledge and experience she is both a great support to the vets and other nurses a like.
Outside of work Vicky is also a qualified dog groomer, busy Mum to 2 young girls and with ponies, Roxy and Ronnie the cats and Radley the dog there's rarely a minute to rest!
Eilidh is a valued member of the nursing team as an RVN and has a Foundation Degree in Science - Veterinary Nursing.
With a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery and aftercare, radiography and inpatient care your pets are in safe hands with Eilidh.
Outside of work, when she's not training her collie Cassini and spaniel Ori in agility she's either caring for her numerous reptiles or camping in her van.
Hannah joined the nursing team in 2022 as a RVN and also holds an ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing along with a Vets Now Emergency Critical Care Certificate.
Hannah's particular interests include Nurse Consult appointments where she enjoys meeting our clients and their pets.
Outside of work Hannah lives on a farm so is often giving a hand there. She also breeds fell ponies and enjoys knitting and making gin. Currently on maternity leave Hannah has recently become Mum to a beautiful little boy.
Ruth joined Furness vets in 2024 when she relocated from Devon. An incredibly caring nurse Ruth particularly enjoys looking after our inpatients and meeting our clients and patients in nurse consults.
Outside of work Ruth has a rescue miniature daschund Daisy and enjoys exploring the lakes with her partner and his belgian shepherds.
Georgie is currently working towards her RVN qualification and is building up her practical and theory experinece whilst working in practice.
Enjoying the fast paced role Georgie enjoys meeting all the animals and clients who come into the practice each day.
When she's not studying for her Nursing qualification Georgie has 6 cats and 2 dogs. She also keeps rare tropical fish.
Eve has joined Furness Vets in the final year of her nursing apprenticeship.
She loves all aspects of veterinary nursing but inpatient care is her favourite, "I love to see patients go back to their families feeling much better than when they came in".
Outside of work she is kept busy with her Golden Retriever Elkie.
Reception
With over 25 years of veterinary receptionist experience, the first 10 years being in a busy South African practise, Joanne is a key part of the Reception team.
Building relationships with clients and their pets is important for Joanne so she can offer support through both good and bad times.
Outside of work Joanne's own pets; 7 cats, a rescue dog Rupert and 3 bloodhounds Spiral, Cryus and Tobias keep her very busy,
Reception
Alex joined the team in 2018 with a BTEC Level 3 in Business and also a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Senior Equine Grooming.
Alex enjoys meeting and working with the different owners and pets that she comes into contact with at the practise and of course, loves giving puppy and kitten cuddles.
Outside of work Alex can be found either riding her horse or walking her dogs.
Reception
Debbie comes to us with over 40 years of admin and reception experience.
She enjoys working with animals and seeing all the different breeds that come into the practise on a daily basis. Debbie will always greet you with a friendly smile.
Outside of work Debbie enjoys walking her dogs Jim & Sam, looking after her fell pony Elsa and her 38 sheep & lambs.
Reception
Joanne has been working as a veterinary receptionist since 2016 and joined the team in 2022.
Enjoying the variety of the job; no day is ever the same, Joanne also enjoys meeting all our clients and pets and will be on hand at the desk or at the end of the phone to answer your calls.
In her spare time Joanne loves to walk her dog Alfie.
Ellie joined the Furness Vets reception team from a background in human dentistry. Swapping teeth for pets she enjoys the variety of the day in our reception and loves meeting our patients. At home she has two beautiful cats, Bella & Monty.
Our clients don't get to meet Emily but she can be found in the office keeping the business side of things running smoothly, in charge of book keeping, health and safety and other areas of administration. Outside of work she's a keen adventurer fell walking in the hills and wild swimming in the lakes.
Animal Care Assitant (ACA)
Ellie joined the team in 2024 as an animal care assistant. The ACA's support our experienced team of nurses in all the care given to our inpatients and day cases as well as keeping the practice running smoothly with cleaning and sterilising equipment between patients. Outside of work Ellie is kept busy with her bearded collie Freddie (as well as a menagerie of poultry and ponies).
Animal Care Assitant (ACA)
Katie first joined the team on placement when completeing her animal care course at Furness College. She has stayed on and now works as an ACA, supporting the nurses in the care of our patients.
